Utah Sites

Children First Utah is an innovative nonprofit organization that provides partial scholarships to qualified low-income families who have nowhere else to turn.

Founded in 1922, the Utah Taxpayers Association is a non-profit, non-partisan association working for greater efficiency and effectiveness in government. As one of the most valuable organizations supporting education reform, their analysis of education finance is lucid and thorough.

Utah Schools at a Glance provides information on public, private and home schooling in the state. It also spotlights innovations in education.

The Utah Education Network provides students and teachers with online educational services, including a directory of public and private schools in the state.

The Utah Home Education Association is a resource for families who home school their children.  As an association they advocate for policies that support home schooling.

National Education Sites

The mission of Alliance for School Choice is to improve our nation’s system of K-12 education by advancing public policy that empowers parents, particularly in low-income families, to choose the education they determine is best for their children.


BAEO (Black Alliance for Educational Options) is a national, nonprofit, membership organization whose mission is to actively support parental choice to empower families and increase quality educational options for Black children.

Founded in 1977, the Cato Institute is a nonpartisan public policy research foundation headquartered in Washington, D.C. Cato's Scholars in Education and Child Policy develop measures to clear the path for entrepreneurial activity and parental power in education.

The Center for Education Reform has comprehensive information on numerous ways education can be reformed so our schools can work better.  The Center also has great resources for parents who want to learn more about their children's current options.

Founded in 1998, the Children's Scholarship Fund provides partial tuition assistance for low-income families to send their children to private schools.

In the stormy seas of school reform, the journal Education Next steers a steady course, presenting the facts as best they can be determined, giving voice (without fear or favor) to worthy research, sound ideas, and responsible arguments.

The Friedman Foundation strives to educate parents, public policy makers and organizations about the desperate need for a shift of power to the disenfranchised parents of America who have limited choices and voices in the education of their children.

GreatSchools is an independent, non-profit organization committed to providing parents with information

The Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options (HCREO) is the only national public policy Latino organization dedicated soley to K-12 education reform, who is willing to speak out on behalf of parents and children.
